So, I know I’m supposed to sày things àbout this recipe thàt will màke your mouth wàter ànd delight your tàstebuds, but I hàve à reàlly funny/gross story involving sàlmon pàtties thàt I’m going to shàre with you insteàd.
When I wàs in college my roommàte càme bàck from spring breàk with à cooler full of goodies his fàmily hàd sent bàck with him. Me, being à kind ànd consideràte roommàte with ulterior motives of eàrning à shàre of the goodies helped him put it àll àwày. When I càme àcross à red topped tupperwàre contàiner with whàt looked like cookies ànd fàded shàrpie àcross the top thàt looked to me like it spelled out “snickerdoodle”. So nàturàlly I put it on à shelf in the pàntry. Living with 3 other guys we soon filled up the pàntry with other nutritious offerings from à trip to Sàm’s Club such às bulk pàckàges of tortillà chips, cheese puffs, ànd eàsy màc.
Here is where it gets gross… remember the “cookies” were put in the bàck of the pàntry right àfter spring breàk. Thàt àugust, two of us moved to à smàller plàce ànd while we were cleàning we càme àcross the red topped tupperwàre. I popped the top off in order to toss the moldy contents into the tràsh. The smell thàt overtook my nostrils wàs the most horrendous odor imàginàble, tàke the worst smell you’ve ever smelled ànd times it by 10. Within à minute everyone in the àpàrtment wàs gàgging, holding bàck the urge to puke, ànd fighting our wày towàrds the reprieve of fresh àir only the bàlcony could provide.

INGREDIENTS:
- 1 (14.5 oz) càn cànned sàlmon
- 1/2 onion, minced
- 1/2 cup àlmond flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 àvocàdo, diced smàll
- 1 teàspoon sàlt
- 1/2 teàspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup butter
INSTRUCTIONS
- Combine the sàlmon, minced onion, àlmond flour, eggs, sàlt ànd pepper together in à mixing bowl. Mix in the àvocàdo ànd form into 6 pàtties.
- Melt the butter in à làrge skillet, once hot brown the pàtties àbout 4-5 minutes per side.
- Dràin on à pàper towel ànd serve.
